Dr. Zhang
Veterinarian
Sophia Zhang was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where a lifelong love for animals inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors in 2026. As part of her veterinary training, she completed her clinical year at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and participated in externships that provided experience in a variety of clinical settings. Throughout veterinary school, she developed special interests in surgery, anesthesia, shelter medicine, and preventive care.
As a new veterinarian, Sophia is excited to begin her career by building lasting relationships with pets and the people who love them. One of the things Sophia loves most about veterinary medicine is that there is always something new to learn. She is passionate to continue her education throughout her career and is excited to grow alongside her patients, clients, and colleagues.
Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, whether exploring nature, staying active, or simply relaxing with loved ones. She is thrilled to be part of the Animal Hospital of Brooklyn team and looks forward to partnering with pet owners to provide exceptional veterinary care and support through every stage of their pets' lives.
